Residents of Vinkovci have many reasons to be proud of the prehistory and history of their city and their river Bosut –European Euphrates or Nile on which amazing right curve came up and developed the entire European civilization.

Professor Aleksandar Durman founded the Orion calendar in 1976, while digging foundations for a fallout shelter of hotel Slavonija. He was then the head of the archaeological works in Vinkovci.
